Axl Rose and 'friends' were to change the way that the world looked at rock musicians. The band's musical achievements are as legendary as their somewhat controversial off-stage antics. They were formed back in 1985 and took their name from two bands that Axl and Izzy Stradlin had previously been members of, the L.A. Guns and the Hollywood Roses. The album Appetite for Destruction was soon to reach the heights, following the immense success of hit singles Sweet Child O Mine, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City. Problems have haunted the band at times and various members have looked to move on but this super-group returned to the stage on New Year's Eve 2000, with their performance at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.
